We went to see Sting in May and Earth, Wind & Fire in June.
First concert was probably Gordon Lightfoot with my parents in the 70’s
What was your first concert and your last (most recent) concert?
Hmm I don’t remember the first concert I ever went to…most likely Blink 182 or White Stripes. My most memoriable concert was Jamie Cullum.
Most recent was Coldplay.
You aren’t by chance a billionaire CEO, are you?
Saw what became the Mule (Gov’t Mule) alonnng time ago when I was really young playing outta a van and the remember Soulshine the most from that time, later on around 8, I saw Johny Cash in concert, I went along with my mother is seems because and as it turned out my parents were divorcing. First concert of my own accord was Iron Maiden during the Powerslave tour in the 80’s in Hartford, CT. Last show was Silver Springs, a Fleetwood Mac Tribute last Saturday. An awesome show, definitely worth seeing if their ever in your area!
Saw Ben Rector tonight and the bassist was none other than Ian Martin Allison! Great to see him live! (Ben was also good lol)
Not really a concert, but a Q&A, screening meet and greet. And lots of great soundtrack music.
Twin Peaks - A Conversation with the Stars
Just fantastic.
Whoa that last shot!
Well tonight is The Sex Pistols, The Stranglers and The Buzzcocks at Dreamland, Margate. First outdoor gig in years and its not raining ![]()
I saw 311 again last week. I think i’ve seen them 17 or 18 times. They always put on a good show. Here is a clip of P-nut’s bass solo.
First ever concert…1986 Simple Minds @ the Perth Entertainment Centre, I was 17 and still in high school.
Last concert… Nov 2023 Foo Fighters @ HBF Park Perth, took my 3 kids.
Next concert…tomorrow night Paul Kelly @ RAC Arena Perth.
Heh, this post didn’t age too well. I’m going to see Ghost in February and I can’t wait!

Nice to see you around here @TNKA36 Brian!
Hope all is well down under.
Gday John,
Yep everything going well down under. Still working away on the pipes.
Are you still playing the sax? Or just focusing on bass🤔
Both, but more sax than bass these days as I have started down the banjo path as well (and a short but intense stint with guitar), but LOVING the banjo of all things.
Sounds like another rabbit hole ![]()
but as long as you enjoy it doesn’t matter ![]()
I have started thinning the herd out, sold the 1979 rickenbacker 4001 and also the 1973 J bass.
They were bought by collectors, hopefully they get a bit of use ![]()
Iron Maiden, 2022 Hamilton
Iron Maiden, 2023, Calgary
Might be going to see Yeemz next weekend in Boston. She plays the cello like a guitar and is really talented.
Then Madison Cunningham in April. Super excited for her.
My first concert experience was Sting, Nothing Like the Sun Tour. No idea when that was, but I was young. I think my Uncle took me.
The first Concert I actually paid for was Ministry. I think KMFDM opened up for them. Industrial fans will know how awesome that is. Nothing like Sting. ;]
My last concert was The Warning in Minneapolis. July of 2025. This is my newest obsession, and The Warning is the reason I’m here. You never know where or when you’ll find inspiration. If you like hard rock I suggest you check them out. Three sisters from Monterey Mexico. Don’t worry, most of their songs are sung in English.
