Gaming! What are you playing?

Sweet! The best things I ever got off it were Control, Alien Isolation, and the whole Keira Knightley Tomb Raider Trilogy.

I need to play Outer Worlds 2 yet. My backlog is certifiably insane. I collect games I haven’t played yet like some folks collect basses (and shoes, apparently) :joy:

Control is amazing. Like seriously a top tier game if you have the patience to get fully immersed.

Oh man, the whole Remedy Entertainment thing. That shit was my micro-obsession for like a year after Alan Wake 2 came out. I was in a tailspin man, what an experience. I can’t wait to see the remakes of Max Payne 1 & 2.

I just grabbed Alan Wake 2 (it’s this month’s monthly Plus game). Probably won’t play for a while though.

What I’m playing recently is Super Smash Bros Ultimate, especially in our schools gaming club, but I also like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing NH

I see gaming on par with reading, and in some cases superior to reading books. In a good open world game, I can write my own story, within the framework given.

My favorites are No Man’s Sky, Baldur’s Gate 3, Borderlands 2, Witcher 3, and X4 Foundation.

The what now?

My bad, I mean the Survivor Trilogy, with Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I thought the reboot Lara Croft’s resemblence to Keira Knightley was something I had seen referred to before, but maybe it’s just me. She doesn’t look like Angelina Jolie anymore.

Ah!

I never got this association, but I can see how the new character is much closer to Keira Knightley than Angelina Jolie

Game I wanted to play: Battlefield 6. But the knife sprint feature disgusts me and I’d rather at least wait until they get the T-menu back in again (which might be never, because as it appears “the core fanbase” seems to have hated that feature).

So I think I will play a bit of Dune Awakening instead. Played it at the demo weekend, seemed to be quite fun.

I just downloaded Redneck Rampage, I played it last over 25 years ago!

Currently bouncing between Borderlands 4, Assassins Creed Ezio Collection, Mechwarrior 5, and Ghost of Tsushima. About 5-10 more in the queue too because PS Plus is the best deal ever (on sale now too).

Also picked up Assassin’s Creed Mirage, AC Shadows, Oblivion Remastered and Ghost of Yotei (all but the last due to Black Friday).

This should last a minute or two.

I’m in the process of selling all my old consoles: Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, Vita, XBOX 1.Gen, GameCube. Yes, I stopped buying consoles a long time ago … around the same time I met my girldfriend (except for the PSP & Vita - I could succesfully hide those from her :-)).
Correlation sometime IS causality…

Before they’re gone, I give them one last ride … it’s a very sentimental thing.

Good times - though I don’t remember most of it, as there was no gaming without smoking weed back then

This is the Dreamcast. What a classic!

I had the first five of those. Well, technically I never bought a PS3 but at one point I had five dev units on my desk. Dreamcast controllers were so good, great games too. Samba de Amigo!

Skipped the PS4. Now I have a PS5 though.

@howard - yeah, the PS5 is a phantastic machine. I had the PS4 (won it!) for about 5 Seconds … but sold it.

I did not get the PS5 as I have to many hobbies as is … and I really s#ck at my favourite game: Wipeout…

Gamecube, one last ride…

Original XBOX, Quantum Redshift. I was not a fan when it came out, cause: Wipeout is EVERYTHING!

But it’s d@mn good (except the soundtrack)!

Some friends just got me into Where Winds Meet. F2p, but it looks like it’s not p2w, just cosmetics are for sale and I don’t really care about that.

Oh no, my PS2 does not work anymore :frowning:

Tested before I put it in a storage 15 years ago. Perfekt climate conditions. Unpacked, checked … LEDs work, CD does stuff - no picture, no audio.

Noooooooooooooooooooo!

I like that you responded to yourself :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I lost all my progress on the OG Legend of Zelda at the 5th dungeon and I’m not grinding all that out again so I started A Link to the Past. Just gonna work my way through some of the old Zelda titles.
