This is what I’m envisioning.

Was a lot of fun. Sadly the Bass room is the smallest of them all. However, they will inbox any bass from the warehouse. Tried about 15 different basses and bought…non of them. I think I am more of a used quirky older bass guy now.

I picked up two t-shirts, some picks, an iRig (to record while on the road), and the new Peterson desktop tuner/metronome.
And they give you handfuls of candy.

So got out pretty easy.
Cool experience. They are all super nice there.

The one thing I did love @akos was the 4 string Laklands. But have to do some thinking about if I want one and I’d so what one etc if ever. But not today.

They make a nice travel case for the iRig

I am more and more into used gear

I agree. I have bought 4 basses, 2 used, 2 new. One new one went back (didn’t love it, a Ray4 no less), kept one, a P-clone. Hunting for the next used one - I’m looking for a particular something… at a particular price point.

There is only one bass that I will buy new (at least that’s what I think now), but that’s off in the future and only because I’m a Steve Harris fanboi.

It’s the way to go. I feel like an impatient failure if I ever have to buy new

4/15 were new and those 4 were early on. Now that I know all the setup and basic repair stuff, I’d only buy new if it was something really cool looking that I couldn’t wait for.

The good news is (at least in the USA) is that is t seems there is always someone on talkbass selling what you want eventually. They seem to cycle through basses over there like crazy. The amount of “I just bought this but ain’t bonding” on there is nuts.

The only bass I would consider new at this point is the one remaining SR2400APL that I know of, and that’s only because they are so good that people buy them and never sell them. I have literally never seen a used one locally, in going on three years of looking.

There’s a couple reason’s I’d get new. Like the Survivor 87 in Rainbow Crackle. There’s just not going to be a lot of them. Sweetwater was allcated 8, GC was allocated 8; just will be a rare bass. And I’m bonding with the bass and it’s not even out yet.

Stream 205 is another case. I could find one used in time I’m sure, but MF had it on sale for lower than the going used price, so why not?

But not the Stream 1004 yet. I could get an ESP II with hard case shipped from Japan for the same money. So why buy new and rsk faulty electronics?

ESP’s discontinued the Stream basses for at least full ESP and E-II. So that would be another buy new candidate, though I would hold out for used on that one.

Those are the E-II’s, the full ESPs are the same:

Bummer, the Black Cherry and Marine Blue ones are just amazing.

If I want it, like the feel, and can afford it, I buy it. Used or new.

Ooh. That red one looks great. The only bummer is the nonmatching headstock.

This is very Lo-Fi and potentially awesome.
