Hello. This little box is indeed quite an unbelievable value for money. Most of effects are great, only a couple of included effects are real rubbish. It has v. 2 firmware now which expands the number of effects to over 130. Build quality is decent, true stereo. Great buy.
Have you seen the MS-60B?
I’m chomping at the bit to hear what people think of these pedals.
I’m liking the TLC. It’s made a super easy and effective note leveler. I just turn the threshold for how much note variation possibility I want. Sounds great.
I ordered a new Levy 4.5" strap and some Ernie Ball strap locks. Sweetwater included a new stand. Those guys at SW are awesome.
So, I’ve been trying to not look basses lately, but I recently saw this and decided I need to get it for my 40th birthday this year ![]()

Awesome theme hardware.
@Paul_9207 40th Birthday… 40th Anniversary edition… makes sense to me!
Reverb is a dangerous place.
My cheeky offer was accepted and I appear to have jumped on the compressor bandwagon.
Ooh. Optical? Tube? Two of my favorites
Ooh. Optical? Tube?
Yup.
The compression circuit is optical and based on a LA-2A but there’s a 12AU7 in the gain stage.
Very nice. Optical compression plus tube compression and tone. I bet it is awesome.
The Zoom Multistomp subreddit has a lot of information on these things. You can install custom firmware with more/all MS effects, some people have made custom effects, etc. It’s pretty wild.
Have you seen the MS-60B?
Yep, yep.
I have it on order but it’s out of stock at my trusty retailer (I want those damn, precious bonus points), so I have to wait a couple of weeks until it’s here. I bought it mainly for mono synths. (As I am using my trusty plastic B1X for playing bass.) This will take care of reverbs and so, but still missing some distortion and overdrive, so that’s where 60B will do the job. I really wanted to buy the Empress Zoia pedal (modular all in one pedal), but man, the amount of money I pay now for energies is kind of obscene, so I will wait a couple of months with these Zoom cheapos.

Yeah same here. It’s insane. ![]()
That looks awesome! It’s things like this that can open up a compressor rabbit hole.
Hold my coat Bugs, I’m goin’ in.

Far be it from me to tell you not to get something, but I’m pretty sure you can add the overdrives via firmware update to the 70CDR ![]()
Thanks for trying to save me some money :D. I have them mainly as inserts for my mixer. So I can for example send one synth through distortion, and then mix it down with another synth and send it out of the mixer to DAW through the CDR send while adding reverb, delay, etc.
