GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 1)

I knew it would happen eventually. Even @howard has come round to the realization that you know. Just get a P Bass

Pics please

Edit: Confession time, since building up my Jazz Bass project I haven’t picked up my P Bass. But this phase will pass.

In my research for a potential pick-up replacement for the Aria PJ I found this - sorry, Steve, I did not believe hard enough to the gods of metal.
But to remedy my potential blasphemy, I quickly bought it and installed it on the bass. With it, a token J pickup that will see little to no use

The electronics don’t work perfectly yet, likely grounding issues, but the sound is awesome :love_you_gesture: :zap:

+1 for the P-bass :upside_down_face:

Well said! @matt.g.ward.esq

Lobster just missed the whole point of his review on that bass to make the matter worse he doubled down with the 3 worse bass of 22 plus get the other 3 to join in and trash the bass.

The volume knobs are there for aesthetic reasons. The pickups output can be fixed by turning up the gain, better yet just use the booster pedal. His unboxing impression was great then something flipped, for someone who owns many basses he’s too obsessed about making all sound the same when he plays. I own many basses I love the no frills and all finger kung fu aspect of the volume only control.

Cory, what can I say about him, he’s a marketing genius he’s now bigger than everyone he’s ever played with, that’s remarkable.

Here’s mine. One is a sterling.

Hi! Has anybody here tried out or bought the BOSS Dual Cube Bass LX? Being a home office “bassist” in an apartment building where I have never turned a 30W Laney RB2 beyond 3 that Boss amp is a huge temptation. I like the idea of the functions it has.

Yep, do a search and you will find the threads on it.

Envy! It’s not even available on Amazon in Mexico. Thomann is the only option and almost $500 with shipping. But Boss Waza Sir Bass is available for $450.

And thus the English language moves ever closer to being replaced with hieroglyphics.

I was tempted by the 2x12, but I finally opted for the 1x12. It should be more than enough for my needs. If I really want to, I can use any available cab sims through the DI out

This is the one I chose

Love the pick guard on your jazz @Barney

Please stop posting your beautiful natural wood MMs @Al1885 . I am really trying not to buy any more basses after the cull and you’re just not helping :joy:

This popped on FB marketplace this morning. A Fender Mustang for $100. My first thought was it’s a Squier and it’s probably stolen.
Something was off with the picture and then the penny dropped. It’s for a PlayStation.
