Please don’t It seriously aggravates me
I’m a big fan of humbuckers of course, but not so much single coils, especially on basses. H/H for me over H/J, but YMMV. I have never been in a situation where I thought a neck J would improve things.
Heck Spector Legend 5 Standard BCG. is available and 550 euros.
I’m worried I wont like 35’’ scale. I had issues shifting on Mustang also.
BS, you were flying on your last cover, lol. 35” scale offer the unique string tension That could inspire many songs you are playing.
Oh this was misunderstood. Shifting between 34 and 35. Since length between frets on 35 is larger. Also possible issues with Spector, long neck and strap lock not not near 12th fret. To me it means 1st fret reach will be even further when playing standing. I feel cramps are imminent.
I have no idea what I could expect. However strap lock near bridge is not centered, so idk.
Ain’t gonna lie, they feel much longer but usually your body would recalibrate a few minutes. If you have cramping issues with the neck size and possible length it’s hard to say how you’d react to this. It can be brutal, lol.
This is even worse when you own a 35’’ with 21 frets and a 34’’ with 24 frets - can lead to some “funny” mistakes.
But, it’s not an un-solvable problem… I wouldn’t want to give either bass away!
I have a 35” fretless. You definitely notice the added length, but nothing that is a problem if you are used to playing 34”. When I go to my 35 after playing a 34 for a while there really isn’t even a conscious adjustment. It just happens.
I’ve got a b206sm which is 35" scale, and the size of the frets didn’t throw me off. What did throw me off is the natural feel for the frets placed me one fret off. I had to look at my left hand again, once I was anchored properly playing was not a problem for me. If I picked up and just started playing I was off a half tone.
I can’t speak to a 35" scale, but just switching between my 34" 22-fret and my 24-fret takes a minute to adjust to. My go-to bass is my 24-fret, so the 22-fret feels “short.”
This one sounds good also and its 34’', and has a good B string, adjustable nut, locking straplocks, adjustable string width.
And this is old passive version.
New one has preamp and updated pups.
But videos on it are nearly impossible to find.

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of those pickups. I’ve been eyeballing them for a custom build.
So, I got really lucky over the holidays! I won a giveaway from Warmoth. I know it isn’t a bass, but I managed to win a custom telecaster body. It showed up last week! got a neck for it and now I’m searching for the pups I want. Didn’t know if anyone had any suggestions, as I don’t play guitar…yet. I also found a steal on a 2001 American precision deluxe. The thing sounds amazing with the MM style hum-bucker at the bridge! Couldn’t turn it down because I was getting it so cheap, but it came from someone who obviously smoked in the house. The case and guitar both smelt pretty bad. I managed to get the case cleaned very well and smells about as fresh as it will get. It should improve more with time. I did get the bass somewhat cleaned. the smell isn’t as noticeable. I am planning on doing a deep clean on it this weekend and didn’t know if you guys had any tricks for removing the smoke smell.
That top is gorgeous.
I’d say, put a single coil P-bass pickup in it and fit it with a tele-p-bass neck with block-inlays
It certainly is but if you squint it does look a bit like a total tort pick guard
Slap a pink pickguard on there and you’ve got something
Leave the bridge pickup cavity open and just tell people you’re channeling Malcolm Young
Smoke smells -
Case Febreeze and sunlight.
There is an even better spray called odor assassin, but spray and sunlight will be your friend.
Bass - guitar polish and oil the fretboard ans you’ll be fine.
