Hares hate tort(oises).
In the world of black or white Pickguard, tort rule, lol.
Yes we do. Well played.
Aw, hells yes!
They are definitely pricey. Doesnt help that they are only two hours from me.
Damn, that neck is awesome. I’ll trade you the one on my 54P
AB/Y pedal, so I can go through the amp and the DAI at the same time, cos for £20, why not…
And these, for £35 cheap amazon things (for home practice at least), are actually decent
That is a beautiful bass! What would be the resale value for something like this? Of course only if you’re willing sell. Lol . Just kidding!
This build is a brilliant idea @Wombat-metal.
I want one!!!
You stained the body yourself and bought the neck?

Joe’s basses go from between $580-$700, this is on the higher end because of the neck

I wish. Joe the luthier stained the body. Like @EddieJones said, it’s cheaper for Joe to do it than buy the parts yourself. Take the pickup, I see all the builds including the Cohnway use them (Duncan Quarter Pounder). I asked how much to add it in? Joe said $45
I priced it out using the same parts and don’t come close to Joe’s price. Must be a labor of love
What’s this guy Joe’s website again?
I came across an ‘65 Ampeg B15N in the wild today (I am up in Rochester, NY).
It took all I had to leave WITHOUT it.
That said, I am here until Thursday.
What stopped me is I have zero room for it, they are a lot bigger than I thought.
Haha good luck with that, from now on you will be thinking till Thursday how you could make it work
I just gassed over a used Mono case again. Now I got two

I do have two mods I will do myself. I have a set of Schaller strap locks to put on, and a zero-mod thumb rest
