Yes, this is what I do with my 500w combo as I don’t want the sound of the preamp (just the power and the speaker of the combo)…got this combo as it had the power I wanted at a great price
cool…packed with over 250 effects and the flux thing sounds interesting
Line 6 making moves in the lower price tiers? Interesting. $350 is cheap for them and it will be the highest quality effects of any of the competitors in that range or less.
Yep, but it still does matter that it’s an amp with a good power stage. The Harley Benton does indeed have an Ice Power OEM power stage that’s crystal clean. It’s a very widely used power stage in quality equipment. I haven’t found any way to get that power stage less expensive than the Harley Benton, not even buying the module and putting it in a case myself.
Here’s one for the DI geeks. Boutique Neve clone with a 3-band shelving EQ and two filters.
$325
After reading this thread I fed my BDI 21 in the return input of my Rumble 100 and it sounds great.
Eventide just released a one-knob plugin that does what I currently do with many plugins (multiband compression and overdrive, filtering and EQ of the bass input to prevent it from being too muddy in the mix).
For $25.
Adds clarity and tone to the low end while trimming out the mud below 40Hz, and keeps the kicks articulated. Sounds pretty good in their examples.
Those 1 knob type of plugins are actually killing it. Got 2 from Bogren
So far so easy. Same effects as in the Stomp but one at a time. Sounds great and scroll through to find the effects you like.
I’ll keep it in mind - especially to test it via input and also via FX return, assuming I’ll go for it. But first I have to sell the BC208 and get the KO 212
Highly appreciated!
Looks like a great buy!
Christmas present from the family, the last of the Gamechanger pedals. The Plus. Simplest in design but quite challenging to sort out everything that can be done with it.
Santa was very generous this year… Gotta love Harley Benton for making beauties like this affordable
That is gorgeous! I don’t know how they do it.
Wow, that looks nice!
Cool - congrats! Which model is that?
Now, sent Santa over here… he missed a spot
Come on, brother. With all your beautiful babies, you don’t have a spot left open.
GAS can be debilitating and occur at any time so beware. I’m in remission right now but suffered from it when I wanted to learn to play harmonica. After buying quite a few inexpensive blow harps I ended up sending for several custom made left-handed chromatics from Germany. Beautiful instruments but $x,xxx.xx. I bought big with my first bass hoping that it will head off more GAS.
Cool. But since you brought up your new bass, you gotta make with the pics.
Head on over to the Show Us Your Basses (Part 2) thread and flaunt it some.
