GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 2)

Just a shot in the dark but I thought I might list this one here before I take it all the way back to bone stock again. It’s a Lake Placid Blue Classic Vibe Late '60s Jazz Bass that I’ve customized to my liking. The add on upgrades are the Chrome Babicz FCH Bridge, Bill Lawrence/Wilde J45 Noiseless Air Gap Pickups, and a chrome control plate cloth wired with CTS pots, an .047 Orange Drop Cap, and a Switchcraft Jack.

The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished at Woodsong Lutherie in Boulder, CO and it’s wearing a brand new set of GHS Pressurewound strings. It’s in mint condition. I bought it on a whim primarily because it’s nearly identical to the '66 Jazz Bass I played all through HS and because I wanted to upgrade it as I’ve done before with my PBass and another CV '60s Jazz Bass I sold several years ago.

The reason it’s for sale is I don’t really need 4 basses. My G&L M2000 covers much of the same ground and I’ll use the proceeds to add a second Genzler Bass Array Cab to my Magellan 350 Combo to bring it up to where it can handle any gig I’d ever do now.

The upgrades alone if purchased retail would run $400 in addition to the $470 MSRP of the bass itself. As many would already know Fender is not offering this model in LPB at the current time. I’m asking $600 for it as she sits. I’d obviously prefer a local or regional sale but can ship it if required. It’s a great bass just one more than I need right now.
