Purple, HH, it ticks all the boxes for me. Only bummer is the 2-band EQ, could drop in a new preamp though. Hmmm Darkglass Tone Capsule maybe, and then stack the blend/volume or something.
This is really tempting.

I was going to say itās missing a string for me, but then I poked around and thereās a 5 string version too. Cool!
This is on itās way to Colorado. Hopefully it gets here before the white walkers do.
Time to get your Robert Smith on
Iām frantically trying to work through the CAGED system to remember my chords but those little guitar strings screw up my fingers quick.
I cannot imagine barre chords with strings that big - I can barely do them with 10ās, much less 24ās
Iāve got a set of 26 - 95ās sitting on my desk already. I was expecting to come home with the Gretsch today.
What if you dropped one of those Rupert Neve preamps that are in the JT Dingwall for that matter?

Yeah exactly.
Iād probably go for the Tone Capsule but thatās because I like that sound and it also was a thing on the DarkRay. The Neveās would be great too.
This is really tempting.
I can tell you this. The overall aesthetics may not be for everyone but I can tell you that the bass feels exceptional. Itās comfortable and easy to play. Itās outrageous at $700. This would give the BB734A the run for the money.
Yes Bongos in general are amazing instruments. Hopefully Sterling will keep the quality up here.
a 5 string version
Only 34" scale, my GAS for the bongo has ended. I donāt see myself buying a less than 35" scale bass, and probably my next one is 37" b string multiscale.

How tall or how big is your hands,
Is it higher tension? I own/owned a few 35ā scale Iām not really all in with that. Donāt get me wrong all of the 35ā scale I have are gems especially the Modulus Quantum 5 but man itās a stretch,
The link is German and the older version but very good to get an impression of the headamp.
Thanks for sharing. Good thing I speak German. Ordered the Pro version from Thomann.

Maybe also get the Fender Mustang Micro Plus, just to compare? You can always send one back!
The Nux Pro is ok, but the Fender is much better. Itās different than the Boss Katana Go, but both have the same very high quality!
Nux is somewehere between the Boss/Fender and the cheap Voxesā¦
Iāve had the old mustang and I didnāt liked it at all but maybe there is a new version. Oder, Herr @Whying_Dutchman ?
Just a shot in the dark but I thought I might list this one here before I take it all the way back to bone stock again. Itās a Lake Placid Blue Classic Vibe Late '60s Jazz Bass that Iāve customized to my liking. The add on upgrades are the Chrome Babicz FCH Bridge, Bill Lawrence/Wilde J45 Noiseless Air Gap Pickups, and a chrome control plate cloth wired with CTS pots, an .047 Orange Drop Cap, and a Switchcraft Jack.
The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished at Woodsong Lutherie in Boulder, CO and itās wearing a brand new set of GHS Pressurewound strings. Itās in mint condition. I bought it on a whim primarily because itās nearly identical to the '66 Jazz Bass I played all through HS and because I wanted to upgrade it as Iāve done before with my PBass and another CV '60s Jazz Bass I sold several years ago.
The reason itās for sale is I donāt really need 4 basses. My G&L M2000 covers much of the same ground and Iāll use the proceeds to add a second Genzler Bass Array Cab to my Magellan 350 Combo to bring it up to where it can handle any gig Iād ever do now.
The upgrades alone if purchased retail would run $400 in addition to the $470 MSRP of the bass itself. As many would already know Fender is not offering this model in LPB at the current time. Iām asking $600 for it as she sits. Iād obviously prefer a local or regional sale but can ship it if required. Itās a great bass just one more than I need right now.
Well, shit. I did a thing.
$130, what the hell. Iāve always wanted one. Weāll see how it looks when it gets here.
Thatās a hard-to-beat price - hope it turns out well!!
Very nice. You got the HH?
