Nice!! What cab?
Very cool. What amp were you running before?
If memory serves me right it’s the Rumble 500
@Barney was using an SGT-DI in to a Rumble 800 combo.
Yes this is what I’m currently running.
Now that I’m in a band with gigs booked I’m dipping my toes into the water of separate heads / cabinets.
Thinking a couple of 1x12s. I can use just one at rehearsal / smaller gigs and add a second one if required. Two individual cabs are easier to carry / transport.
We bought some used PA monitors and a mixer for the band so some of the bass goes through that.
500 watt head plus a couple of nice 1x12s is pretty loud enough IMHO.
… FOR NOW
Whoa!!! Grab it before it’s gone. $460,000 price drop

Ho! Ho! Ho!
Definitely interesting. The model was discontinued over a decade ago. Super awesome value.
That would explain why, when you click to go to the information page, there is no description or information about the bass model.
Also, when I did my usual ritual of comparing the price against Amazon’s and Reverb prices to check how good a deal it really was, I could not find the model anywhere.
Maybe they ran across a cache of them in one of their warehouses?
Wife: What do you want for Christmas?
Me: Another bass
Wife: Do you need another bass?
Me: No
Wife: So why do you need another bass?
Me: ‘Cos I do. Don’t buy me anything, I’ll buy something in the sales…
Wife, shaking her head: You’re crazy…
irt how the new BB734 came to be:
(making the bed together)
Me: I got @howard to play Wow again as payback for egging on everyone’s GAS after he tried to get me to buy the new red 734.
Wife: Did you buy the bass?
Me: No, no. The point was that I got him back and that was funny.
…
…
(15minutes later)
Me: on the Sweetwater site looking at the red BB734a. She totally said it was okay.
Fin
Yeah it’s based on a EBMM Sterling smaller body narrower 1.5” neck at the nut. There were 2 models offered. The more expensive SB-14 (original) which is the direct replica of the USA model with the 3 way switch parallel/ single coil/ series. And the more simple SB-4 vol bass and treble.
They rereleased the new SB 14 with parallel wiring and simple volume and tone knob version in a natural and white pickup.
No oops there, looks right to me!
