Mostly related to the midi thread I finally got bit by a holiday sale by SSD5.5. Little did I know that a 3 octave keyboard isn’t even close to enough to control a drum kit .

I have been thinking about one of them there 8 stringy things! Particularly a Schecter Stiletto Studio 8. Does anyone have any experience with one of these or similar? Thanks!

Is this gear? Anyway, it’s an ultrasonic cleaner for my strings. Not cool - but hopefully useful!

It’s in the 43 Khz range, so technically not bass

I thought ā€œultra sonicā€ was a little more glowy :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I’m surprised nobody has pointed out they’re also useful for cleaning bike parts yet.

Nice! Hope you enjoy them as much as I am! The spatial audio is a really cool feature.

I read that yesterday evening. My ultrasonic cleaner might be too small. It can hold CD’s max, so I guess that rolled up strings fit perfecty.

Congrats on your new Waza Air-Bass. It’s a great wireless headphone amp system. I’ve had mine for a couple of years and I love ā€˜em.

There goes my ā€œbut I don’t feel like setting everything upā€ excuse. I don’t think it can get too much easier :joy:

The model shown by @Whying_Dutchman is a bit small for golf club IMO

But well should be interesting …

Maybe for mini golf?

There is a joke to be made about cleaning one’s jewels in them… but I’m not going to make it. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Let’s turn to Wikipedia, as long as it still esists:

ā€œAn ultrasound generating transducer built into the chamber, or lowered into the fluid, produces ultrasonic waves in the fluid by changing size in concert with an electrical signal oscillating at ultrasonic frequency. This creates compression waves in the liquid of the tank which ā€˜tear’ the liquid apart, leaving behind many millions of microscopic ā€˜voids’/ā€˜partial vacuum bubbles’ (cavitation). These bubbles collapse with enormous energyā€

I’m sure, some people here will enjoy it when bubbles collapse with enormous energy on their jewels.
I’d rather stick to cleaning strings

So … I dropped into my local music shop today to test drive the Dingwall Combustion ,… and DAMMIT the M*Fer had sold!! grrr…

However … I talked some turkey with them … $700 - $800 down can trigger the order… and I can probably end up with the Blue or Purple burst I want …

June is looking good
