It’s “fiesta red”

Not as misnamed as “competition burgundy”

They’d obviously just read The Iliad when they named the color, and were inspired by the “Wine-dark sea.”

They’re calling that burgundy? How high were they when they named it?

Either too high, or not high enough.

Maybe its the Burgundy Coat of Arms:

That blue looks about right.

Now you are talking my language,

So here’s the explanation I dug up.

Many years ago Fender made a purple burst they called Burgundy, and withdrew it after a few guitars. This is a recreation. If you look, the dark part of the burst is purplish.

Hence burgundy.

Yeah, Fender does Fender things

Compared to the pink one with matching headstock i did thing the natural one stood out in the images used. In other peoples pictures it doesn’t look as glaringly obvious, so would not be as much of an issue.
Looking at mine, they do both have matching headstocks, but are darker colours, which I think goes better with the dark fretboard

Haha, yes, I think she can pull it off… I couldn’t, but this kind of customization is for sure a possibility to “pimp” your basses

I absolutely love this bass (look, color, sound …)

it is clearly in my wish list as it is also a short scale and I don’t own one … but together with a few others … and already too many (according to my ministry of budget at least)

I was very close to buy this one this summer and not the Dingwall (went for the 5 strings NG3 because significantly different to my P & J)

I would love to have something like this … but too big (and useless) for a small flat in Paris !

My yesterday’s GAS

Seems like they are blurring the line between their Fender and Squier brands. I’m not sure I understand the strategy. But those look nice.
