GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 2)

For sure it isn’t cheap… and for sure not for now. But I will keep it in the “to look at” bookmark folder

Softube’s stuff is a bit cheaper and is also awesome for a lot of these. Softube Model 80 is a Prophet 5 and Model 84 is a Juno-106; both are spot on. They also have a Minimoog.

d16’s LuSH-2 linked above is eight Roland SH-101’s rolled in to one polyphonic synth.

Got the MiniMoog from UA fro $49…

Maybe wait for a u-he sale!?!

They do have sales for sure!

Could also check out Softube. On sale now.

Model 72: MiniMoog
Model 80: Sequential Prophet-5
Model 82: Roland SH-101
Model 84: Roland Juno-106

Only reason to want RePro more is if you also want a Sequential Pro-One (which, frankly, I would).

I’ll be happy with Diva and LuSH-2 (later).

Thanks! It seems the Diva has all of these rolled into one though

Yes Diva is more of a new take that is very faithfully analog. It’s got a lot. There’s a reason I got it

You could also do what I just did and stalk the KVR forsale forum. I just picked Diva up used for €85.

Not many decent sound demos of the new Sire Z7. Here’s a good one.

If you don’t mind me asking, where did you pick up your pick up guard from @StevFargan ?

@Glenn
I got the pickguard from Precision Guitars AZ through their eBay store. They also sell on Reverb. They have many colors and styles to choose from. I was impressed with snug fit of the pickguard.

I’ve had this bass (in this color) on pre-order since it was announced. Original date was July, now September, and I question my life choices as the Joe Dart will ship in October?

You definitely need another bass. Thoughts and prayers :pray::pray:

I think it looks like a banger. Except the pickguard. That’s still ick.

I wouldn’t know what to do with this, but @howard perhaps?? (I know it’s, ugh, hardware )

I am allergic to hardware

Ok this is a deeply weird synth and it is also perhaps the most imaginative thing Moog has made in years. It’s not the way I usually like to work but I can see why people would go completely gaga over it; generative randomization has become popular as a sequencing technique for idea generation for a while. This thing is probably a dream machine for live techno DJ/artists and I could see it fitting in to a jazzy mindset very well.

Also stoners would take to this thing like cats to laser pointers.
