I love the gloves for fretting but not on the thumb. It’s just a bit too slick that even you are a light thumb pressure player it still the weakest point and the fatigue point. I have a few pairs and I cut off one of the thumb sleeve for more comfortable grip.
I set myself an “allowance” every payday for spending on music stuff. I’m “saving up” atm to pick up a Reverend Triad that a local shop has for a very good deal. Hopefully it’s still there next weekend. Otherwise those $300 Amazon carts start to add up and my wife will start to ask questions.
Same. I worked out an arrangement with my wife long ago. I keep it within $X a year, and you never make fun of anything I buy, no matter how stupid the purchase looks. It’s worked great so far.
Last year on my birthday I decided to treat myself to a 24c CPU + 300€ Cooler …
This year I bought a Bass… oh… (and Megatron Flagship by Robosen… shhhh)
Stupid post I made on stupid softsynths, started gassing again, spent all day playing with demos of Lush-2 and Diva yesterday, and now I’m gonna buy both, Diva now and Lush-2 later. They are just great.
The last thing I “need”, as I have thousands of dollars in synths already, but dammit the GAS cannot be reasoned with.
You’re telling me. I had zero interest in synths, then based on your post started looking into Surge XT, then saw this video. Now there’s a part of me wondering if I need a Linnstrument. LOL
Surge really is quite good, very capable, and you have to love the community vibe behind it.
And yeah, that’s the man himself, the creator of one of the most iconic and important drum machines of all time. His new Linnstrument is a neat take on controllers.
