GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 2)

That might also be the difference between Kuroneko and Japan Post.

It could be. The shipping charges were low, which could be explained by the customs bribe, err, I mean shipping and handling fee.

Thank you Paul! I think it’s really just GAS. I really like the SansAmp. Furthermore my amp (Boss Katana 110) has a lot to play with. I’ll stick to it.

I like it too. My curiosity comes from the fact that my BDDI is the programmable version and I have never used a preamp with three or more EQ settings/knobs.

Not quite GAS but seems a reasonable place to put it.

Last November (when I was just getting started) I purchased a 10’ Fender Professional Series cable with right angle plug. All was fine until just recently it started occasionally crackling and sometimes even cutting out as it got jiggled around. I though it was more likely to be the socket on the bass but an alternative cable had no problems at all.

So I emailed Fender and they got back very promptly saying they had a lifetime guarantee and to take a photo of the cable with the ends cut off and they would get another one off to me. Which I duly did and the same day they came back and said one will be on it’s way to me within the day!

As the sockets are not moulded I may be tempted to solder the cables ends back in ! I’ll only have lost an inch or so! Was going to do that anyway but for the Fender price I thought it worth contacting them. Impressed with the response and service I have to say.

Interesting. I will buy a set of each with my SW gift card and see what’s what.
THANKS!

The SIT’s arrived and I have only noodled for a few minutes but they sound and feel great. Furthermore the coincidental color match is nice and has it ever happened to anyone that the four tuners are aligned after tuning?

SIT are killer strings at a great price. Beat the hell out of 'em! They’ll do you proud.

Yes and it is the most practical gear I have bought.
D’Addario bought on Amazon. The price is in MX Pesos, about US $36.

I have one one those cable but I don’t think I paid that much, :joy:

Most probably not. All gear in Mexico is basically US price + 30%.
Yesterday a 2017 Fender PJ Mustang like mine sold second hand for US $1000.
