GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome (Part 2)

Unlike a lot of GAS this is a good plan. Those are cool and unique instruments.

Thanks, and I think it fits up my alley. I like the single coil P pickup best, but no one makes a short scale. I like my double SCPB in Orange, still my picture, but I get some wrist problems with the scale.

This, my Mustangs, including Herbie the Love Bass, my Bass VI, and the Joe Dart, and I can sell the rest.

Walnut neck, light weight tuners, Gotoh bridge, Fralin pickups, it’s good to go

Congrats, I’ve been drooling over their double P in that color.

I don’t see the double P in purple anymore :frowning: but this is nice too

Lord help me, I’m not sure I can resist the siren call of a 2nd bass any longer. I’m really tempted by the American Performer P/J especially the blue one that caught by eye in the shop. They’re on sale in a few places at the moment but still not cheap, I know with Fender’s you’re paying for the name to a certain extent, but anyone got any thoughts on them?

I’ve never owned an American Performer, but they have a good rep and yes the sales - it’s a holiday in this country this weekend

I love tubes and compressors, and with my tube amp being broken at the moment I was having tube withdrawal, and I may have seen this 2nd hand Effectrode LA-1A opto tube comp pedal and purchased it

It is so nice and at the moment I have it just comping and saturating the low end only (thanks to XO pedal) while keeping the mid and highs a bit sharper with console distortion (Colour box v2)

I just sold the Effectrode Blackbird. They make some fabulous tube gear. Loved it.

This picture, hopefully, calls for some explanation.

Haha yeah I am finally getting this beast figured out… Many people don’t understand that you can’t just plug in and run this rig as a big mono rig… Getting her dialed in has been difficult, but very fun and interesting… The power is absolutely insane!!

I remember that second picture. Do you play professionally or do you just love the gear?

While there’s no rug to tie the room, I’d happily live in that room, :joy:

You are my new hero @KitCrsn

Holy cats, I think we found the counterpart to Al’s shed. That’s a beautiful set up.

You still have some work to do though…
