Kinda glad I missed the sale. That would have been too tempting!

They had a B.C. Rich Widow 4 string
in stock at Sweetwater, it was in line to undergo the inspection process last night and would soon be available, now it’s in back-order status.

The deal is gone now so I don’t know at what price it was offered however I own this bass and it’s very playable and quite attractive. Even at $460 less MF’s typical 10%-15% discount it not over priced and it’s also a good platform for upgrades.

Mine has Bill Lawrence/Wilde J45 noiseless air-gap pickups and a chrome Babich FCH Bridge and upgraded electronics. I use GHS Pressurewound strings as I have on all my previous JBasses.

EDIT; Just saw the $309 price. At that price it’s a screaming bargain. Some may need some fret work, mine did, but Fender covered it under their warranty. Forget the name on the headstock. It’s as giggable as any bass you might pay 2x to 3x that much for.

I was feeling really proud of myself for not buying the bass that day since I have yet to start B2B. Now I feel as stupid as the deal was!

Your money will run out before the sweet deals on basses do @UncleToad

For example 1/2 price brand new. There are deals everywhere.

Hey y’all…. I’m itching to pull the trigger on a Sterling Stingray. I have it down to the Ray4 and the Ray24CA. Pros n cons? I don’t need it, I just want it.

If it’s just an object of desire I would probably save up for the Ray34 to really satisfy it

Don’t get Ray24ca. It’s pretty bad compared to Ray4. Unless you can get a used Ray34ca that one will bring you much closer to the classic stingray.

Ray24 is pretty much a Ray4 with slab body and twice the price.

Ray34 on the other hand is stingray spec neck and pickup ( wired in series instead of parallel).

Nice! Pro tip: never buy cheap power adapters unless you love white noise. I had my fair share of adapters and I swear with the one from Boss/Roland.

Having that battle… better now… still mental with a buzz

EDIT: Made a decision that will disappoint people here… I will not buy this bass… any time before late October / November. There’s a slight delay.

Baby did a bad bad thing.

My boss was talking that it’s been a while since I got a new bass. I have the Bacchus, but that’s more of a project now on hold.

There is this sale going on and they knocked hundreds off the cost…
