Got link?
While I have absolutely no reason to get one I’ve been eyeing the PRS SE Zach Myers. It’s like a super light Les Paul. :joy:

@howard do you have the passive transformer boost on your new Revstar ?

Thank you,

The checker board binding was installed piece by piece.

It was a fun build.

Wow @howard I haven’t consider adding guitars but I always wanted a light weight Les Paul, as I mention earlier. So I’m now on the hunt for one of these, any thoughts and opinions on any of these would be awesome.

What do you guys think, Which one?
It would have been very easy if this was a decision between 3 basses, I’d just get one each, :joy:

Do you prefer humbuckers or P90’s? Dual P90 and double-buck are both classic Les Paul configurations.

The bummer about the trapeze bridge one is (a) it’s a trapeze bridge and (b) no racing stripes

Personally I would go for the green Standard but up to you! I’ve owned two Standards now and they are awesome. Stainless steel frets is a nice touch.

I have no preference on guitars. I have several Stratocasters, I’m familiar with the SSS config. I know that Humbucker and P90 are darker and warmer tone, which is not necessarily a bad thing for me. I’m been looking at the 335 style based solely on the looks.

I’m actually learning more songs on guitars so I’m waiting for the muscle memory to click. Once I pass the novice stage i can start to enjoy learning and playing it. My biggest decision right now is to commit to either picks or finger style.

I love this metallic green !

that said, the Revstar is more a challenger of the SG than of the LP in my opinion

Cool. I happen to like humbuckers a lot but for the types of stuff you like I would actually probably recommend the dual P90s.

Yep it’s literally the spiritual successor to the Yamaha SG, which was of course Yamaha’s answer to the Gibson.

yeah the Revstar’s ancestor is definitly the SG-1000 (and 2000, 3000)

True. I’m really not into SG at all. RevStar is more approachable. Love the build for sure. I’ll file this under “get it when I see a good deal”. Like I said, not too eager yet to get another, though I had a great session tonight with the Godin ACS SA Nylon. I did Mr. Big, To be with you, I was able to strum the chord and even do the solo in SloMo. I can change to every chords except D. I kept doing it the wrong way around, :joy: Love the soft feel and sound of nylon.
