Hi, guys.
I’m fairly new to bass and would like to purchase my very first set of headphones. I’m on a pretty tight budget and don’t have a lot of money.
I’m hoping that headphones will help me improve my playing so that I can be more critical about my progress and help improve my technique.
My question is what are your thoughts
On the following headset for a newbie bass player:

These headphones are mentioned quite a couple of times on the forums, and people that own them tend to like them. The search function is your friend:
Hey, I have an amplug2 headphone amp and the headphones that came with them are not very good with the low end. My bass gets distorted very easily. There are so many options/knockoffs out there on Amazon, I am not sure what to get to replace them. I am looking at spending about $60-$80 spacebucks.
It turns out the new neighbors in my apartment complex aren’t crazy about late night jams and practice sessions lol. I would really like to find a set of headphones to use without having to worry about pissing them off more. Im basically looking for something I can practice with that would also have Bluetooth capabilities. I’d love to be able to hear whatever song I’m playing along to as well as hear my bass through the headset - it would be a great to be able to focus on what I’m working on and…
Hi!
I know there are some threads about recording, but what I am kind of missing is the review like “best beginner bass amp” and “best beginner bass”. There are videos like that, but they tend to get all technical and rarely anything costs less than 100$. It might just be that this is the case, but what components do I need for a good “clean” recording and how much money do I have to put in before it makes any sense to put any money in at all? A reference point for information would be okay too…
Can anyone recommend a set that has the sound quality comparable to an amplifier? My amp is a Fender Rumble 25 and my headphones are Behringer HPX6000. These headphones have a sort of twangy (for lack of a better word) sound. They were not really expensive and I can disconnect the cord from the headphone and use it to plug a computer/iPad/iPhone. I do like that capability but the sound quality takes some of the fun out of them. Any recommendations ?
Remember that you’ll still need some kind of amp to plug your headphones into!

Hi there!
I have Superlux HD-681 headphones for ~$25, they are fine, too. To my ears, they sound a bit bright, but you could replacement ear pads ($10) and would remedy that. My new DI sounds rather muffled on the mono channel anyway, so I wear them as is.
Hope this helps,
Antonio

Cool!
Plus, first-time buyers can get a 15% discount on top of that price. Great deal for someone.

That’s a good price; sadly the small print says no you don’t get 15% on top for that item.

@sudha.priber - The AKG K240’s will be great! Good affordable monitors, go for it.
@Barney those are my JBL monitors (305 P-II) in that pic, funny coincidence
