HERE I GO!

I’ve never had an interest in recording, since being on BB and hearing and seeing all of the things done on here it blows my mind and I wanna play lol. I have NO idea what I’m doing but from what I’ve read and seen I’m collecting gear. I’ve read many posts about what is good and not so good. Hopefully soon I will have all this up and going. I know I’ll need more. I have garage band and reaper on the laptop. I also have a powered speaker. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Looks like you’ve got everything you need. Looking forward to hearing your covers! What are you going to use for your backing tracks? I use Moises AI. You can mute the bass and export a bass-less mix for your backing track. Pop that into GarageBand and you’re ready to record with your scarlet. Moises is also good for learning the bassline as you can turn down the volume on the other instruments to really hear the bass and you can slow down the bpm on difficult parts to work your way up to playing at full speed.

I loaded Yamaha e track that was mentioned on here the other day, don’t remember who. It seems to do what you’re talking about, I will look at the Moises too. Like I said I don’t have a clue. A lot of reading, video watching and trial and error. Thank you for the advice.

I was not and Thank you so much for sharing. I spent a good bit of time reading Pam’s posts and her journey, completely Heart Wrenching, such a genuinely good lady. I will go over this when I can get uninterrupted time. Again, Thank you and Pam. :folded_hands:
