Just wanted to pop on the forum and say HI!
Was looking for an introduce yourself thread but couldn’t find one. Hope this is OK.
I’m a 46yo father of 5 who hasn’t really played Bass since the late 90’s.
My story is pretty common, I played Bass for 3 years in high school back in the day. Never had my own Bass during that time so I didn’t very good just playing during class. I remember playing Stand by Me and missing the key change, that’s my whole memory of 3 years of music classes 
Now that my kids are grown and I actually have money left over after bills, I finally bought myself one. Treated myself to an Ibanez Iron label BTB625EX 5 string. I really love it, it’s a joy to play.
One of my sons has a six string guitar which I play a little, and I considered just getting a bunch of tabs and seeing how my skills transferred but I’m so glad I signed up to B2B, cause I’m re-learning how to get those ground level techniques right. So far the lessons have been really good, and I’m so happy I signed on.
My personal goal is to be able to Schism by Tool by the end of the year with no mistakes.
