I bought seven basses since starting B2B. Returned two. Selling two. One is on the bubble. Gonna keep two.

Bought seven, sold five, keeping two forever unless I upgrade them (and both would be difficult to improve on… the SBV is just rare to get the only two real upgrades, and my P-bass would be tough to improve). Also bought and sold two guitars. Bought three and sold two MIDI controllers, remaining one’s a keeper.

Bought about $1500 of pedals and sold about $1300 of them. And spent way more than that on DAW plugins which is where I do my effects now. I would be highly surprised if anyone reading this used substantially more effects than I did, despite my only current pedal being a tuner.

Three audio interfaces (counting my mixer), sold two.

Three multieffects boxes, sold two.

Straps… ok, I’ll just stop now.

Yeah so maybe I got in a bit deep

In this journey I have only sold xxx basses

  1. Yamaha TRBX305 (upgraded to a Lakland 55-02)
  2. Traveller bass (upgraded from one with piezo to the one with a P pickup)
  3. Harley Benton T-bird (was for slide bass project but went another way)
  4. Hofner Ignition (upgraded to German built)
  5. Michael Kelly Dragonfly acoustic (super big body and got a Gretch instead which cured my want for an acoustic)
  6. Fender Vintera P MIM - in progress of selling (in hindsight, this was a mistake to buy, but wanted that red/gold thing, it just didn’t turn out sounding great and didn’t like the neck at all.

Kept the other 24.
I don’t see selling any of them in the near or distant future.

That is a great looking bass, let us know how it sounds. I have never played a neck through.

Bought six, sold two. Still need to sell one or two of the remaining four. Still haven’t decided which one(s)

Since joining B2B I have
Sold
1 x Squier Classic Vibe Jaguar Bass

Bought
Dingwall NG3
Warwick RB Streamer NT
Warwick Thumb
Lakland DJ4

To offset this somewhat I have two guitars currently advertised for sale

Which will leave me with 4 x Bass and 1 x Stratocaster

I can live with that.

Since I’ve started B2B I’ve bought 12 basses, built 2 and have another in the build process and I don’t plan to sell any of them unless it gets to the point where I can’t play anymore.

I don’t sell things so eventually my hobbies become self limiting :joy: there’s only so much space for bikes, boards, cameras and musical instruments… and I’m trying to not fill my new/bigger place up with even more stuff

I have a guitar I need to bring home from a buddies house and I don’t have room in my rack for it… I was thinking of adding a second rack to separate my guitars and basses but then I’ll have more free space which will lead to more guitars/basses; it’s a slippery slope

I thought I was bad for getting 6 basses in my first year :stuck_out_tongue:
