Yes, they are supposed to be, but mine were never blue and when ripen they are very small like Ice Creams are. Since it takes about 2.5 years to fruit, I will go with a more standard banana going forward. It looks like my mango tree and my arica palms took a hard hit also.
Great idea! Cannibal Iguanas is also another!
Hey, I lived in Oro Valley for several years in the recent past. We loved it there, but I did capture this from my front yard one day.
We’ve got crazy conditions here in the French Alps at the moment. I’ve been coming out here for the winter season for eleven years now and we’ve never seen a category 5 (maximum) avalanche risk day in that time. We’ve had three last week, two this week already and more forecast for next week. In one of the villages up the valley from me the gendarmerie are patrolling the street making sure everyone stays inside with all their shutters closed!
It’s just serious crazy. But I’m practising my bass!
here in rochester there is an inch of slush on the roads from sleet/frozen rain that i suspect will rapidly become fully frozen pretty soon. glad i only had to teach this morning.
This is in one of the villages locked down. Taken a couple of days ago. There has been several more feet of snow since this was taken.
Bear in mind this is a place that is inhabited all year round.
Some Swiss and Italian villages have actually been evacuated.
Flowers are coming up. I shot this to troll my sister. Ironically, we’re about as far north as you can get in the states (outside Alaska) at 48 degrees north and on the Canadian border. But uncommonly mild winter.
It really is. I had a bug land on me the other day and the trees are all starting to bud. In Colorado. In February.
Here is a summary of the weather here right now
We had a ton of rain, along with hail, lightning, and thunder overnight.
In central wisconsin. In February.
Here too… in the past February was always miserably cold, would get a blizzard or two, but today it got up to 59°, clear blue sky.
Looks like a sci-fi
Feels a bit like it. Another foot and a half dumped outside mine last night and I’m way lower than that village. A friend of mine is staying up there and had a visit from the gendarmerie yesterday to tell him to stay put and did he need any food!
Still we’re supposed to be having a few days relief now. But avalanche conditions are still very high.
This is a bit north of me:
Ice Cracking On Wyoming Reservoir Sounds Like A ‘Star Wars’ Laser Gunfight
Right, everyone thinks it would be like a dream, until you wake up and it’s real!
“Adventure is not adventure when it’s happening”
The weather sucks!
8-14 inches of snow forecast
55mph winds
Coastal flood warning
The worst part is 2 bored bird dogs trapped with me.
