The course is behind you, your playing is getting better and things are going pretty good but your feeling stagnant and maybe even stuck.
The question becomes, ‘now what can a person do to get better at bass?’

This is the way.

Also, just do the course again. It’s really all we can do.

Play … lots!

I’m not a theorist, probably should be, but I’m not. Since finishing B2B, I’ve probably now learnt, and posted covers of, 120’ish songs. I’m also in a band, so I’m getting the ‘play with others’ experience too.

Has my bass playing improved since once finishing B2B? Yes! Do i have a lot more to learn? Hell yes! :sunglasses:

According to my calculations, that guy has clearly played, at least, 13 gigs.

  1. Buy a new bass
  2. Do the B2B course again using your new bass
  3. Repeat

Play with other people.

Find or start a band. Go to jam sessions. Learn songs that other people pick, and play them with other humans.

Does your comment imply that the information the video poster imparts is legitimate and/or worthy of consideration, or not?

This is the way.

If it takes another course or more gear or another bass to add inspiration, do it…
As long as it promotes working those fingers its a good thing… :jbass: :sunglasses:

Things that which we persist in doing becomes easier, not that the nature of things has change but our ability to do have increased.

This is what I live by when face with tough song and task. Just feel the music slow it down and play, next thing I know I’m doing it.

Crossing my fingers that the answer is reading forums and searching for bass tabs…

If you lose your keys in a dark place its easier to look for them several feet away where there’s a light, but just because its lighter doesn’t mean you’ll find them there.

Now that’s funny.

It’s a good idea to not take things so seriously.
