Nice! Yes it looks in awesome shape! Is that an adjustable saddle?

yes, adjustable height on both sides. that’s not common.

Do you have a link where you ordered them from?

I bought these about 17 years ago during my 1st attempt at learning to play guitar at a local music store in the middle of Bluegrass country in Virginia. Gave up and sold the guitar but kept the pins and remembered I had them.

They’re slotted bone pins with an Ebony dot.

Here is a link to some from Stewmac:

Waverly Bone Pins

there are a lot of different dimensions so it’s important to measure on the actual guitar (or to be lucky)

Good point! The ones on Stewmac come in 2 sizes.

yeah but even way more sizes do exist. I’ve seen maybe 5 or 6 sizes. it’s important to take care of that !

ramping/slotting the bridge and using unslotted pins also makes a big difference.

holy crap, I want a Strat right now. someone is selling a Squier in great shape with a great color, I may pull the trigger.

I think Strats are a lot easier to play then Tele’s, but definitely sound different to me. I love the tones from a Tele, but love the playability of a Strat…. I played with one band years ago that wouldn’t let me play my Strat - only my Tele…

currently I have a '84 Strat but for some reason this one doesn’t work for me. I’d like a more “vintage-like” thing.

also I have 4 Tele’s and my #1 guitar is by far Juliette, my yellow ultra-relic MIA Tele.

to me it’s different, almost like a Precision or a Jazz Bass. I’ll always go for the P but, the J isn’t bad …

Man, you might want to check out the Pacifica 611. If I wanted a strat-style it’s definitely what I would go for over a Squier. Way more quality and features for the buck.

Unless you want an actual Strat of course, then there’s only two real options

yeah I prefer an actual Strat and the thing is that I found one insteresting used for sale (I won’t but it new)

Got it. Yeah, then there’s only two brands that will scratch that itch

yeah and the Pacifica 611 is not a Strat, really. see, no strat pickup here

It’s true, you need the 612 to get a HSS. H/P90 is why I like the 611 better but that’s a good point.

Oh jeez, someone save me. On the bright side I didn’t pickup a used Stream 205 today

On the dark side I did order a Gretsch G2655 streamliner with a v-stoptail, which looks like a hardtail. Know nothing about guitar, but will indulge my inner Malcolm
