My brother! Same color even
Nice work going with the Standard. Extra features are awesome (though I haven’t found the power transformer useful yet).

Blue seemed like the obvious choice… Might have been tempted by white, or neon yellow, but that one’s only available for the Elements.
yeah that’s a Nashville Tele. not very interesting IMO , as the neck pickup is still a Tele one. Also I love the middle pickup on a Strat, but I don’t see the point on a Tele.
It’s kind of funny that Leo nailed the bridge pickup tone on a Tele but the neck pickup tone on a Strat.
Marketing genius - now you need one of each.
Weren’t teles originally a poor man’s strat with only one pickup? I feel like Springsteen said this in his Howard Stern interview and that a tele was all he could afford back when and less pickups meant cheaper.
No. Telecasters came out first, in a few configurations, and then Leo made the Strat design to improve on them, similar to the J and the P basses. But also like the J and P, both fill different niches.
Yeah! I feel like tele is the P and strat the J.
I’ve been lurking this thread for a week or so now and I guess I caught some secondhand G.A.S. related to acquiring guitars. Went to a local shop to check out a Am Pro II Telecaster Deluxe but saw a Nashville on the wall while A/B ing different Telecasters. Long story short, I came home with 2 guitars on Saturday…
Thought I would like one over the other and end up returning the lesser liked instrument but I think I’ve already failed. They BOTH sound amazing! Especially when I hooked them up to my 76 Twin Reverb. The Deluxe just sang and sparkled so well coming through that amp. The overdriven tones were quite tasty as well.
The Nashville Tele is no slouch either. The neck is so comfortable and the rolled fingerboard edges plus the 12” radius make it so nice to play. The neck pickup is oh so nice! I saw @howard mention the Nashville earlier and it reminded me I needed to post about these new acquisitions.
I have a feeling they will both remain in the instrument family.
Now if I can just quiet the voice telling me that a Custom Shop Bass would be a nice addition…
Also, this means I now own 1 more guitar than I have in basses. Will I be expelled for this travesty??
Very nice guitars!
Let’s see what the system has to say
@Bassbot expelled?
Hi! To find out what I can do, say @bassbot display help
.
I think I’m safe for now. Once Bassbot gets updated with GPT5, we’re all in trouble…
If that were the case I’d be out!!! Basses I’m in single digits but guitars are in double digits. Nature of the G.A.S. Beast!
well done
This is what Laurent meant about needing both a single coil guitar and a humbucker guitar and yeah I get that
Much more different than the similar pickup choices in basses.
Those are both gorgeous!
