Robbie Robertson has passed on. RIP, man.
Sixto Rodriguez, singer/songwriter and subject of the Academy Award-winning documentary “Searching for Sugar Man”, has died. RIP, Sugar Man.
And now Tom Jones has passed at 95.
Sorry to hear that. The world lost a great lyricist. RIP, man.
I met him in a pub many years ago when he was doing a show in Brighton, UK.
Apparently he was quite a darts aficionado and carried his arrows and a dart board everywhere he went.
This Tom Jones who recently died is not the Welsh singer.
I sure thought of the other one first
I guess I should have done the math… The Welsh singer isn’t quite 95 yet…
Yeah, I know. I did a double take when I saw “Tom Jones” because there was no mention in the news of his having died.
Singer Tom Jones (of “What’s New, Pussycat” fame) is in his early 80s.
Sorry about that misinformation.
Must have received it from one of those Trump fake news channels.
No misinformation, just misidentification.
A musically famous Tom Jones did indeed recently shrug off this mortal coil, but not He of the Titanium Vocal Chords.
I saw him a few years back on the Andertons channel. Now that boy could play. He wrote a lot of the early Whitesnake songs, plus funny guy.
I saw him play a couple of times too, superb guitarist, a sad loss.
I do dread every time I see this thread pop up again
Ah man
Had the pleasure of meeting him and Jon Lord a good few years ago. Both absolute gentleman.
I’ve been a Whitesnake fan from the 70’s and always gravitated back to the early stuff.
Truly a sad day
David LaFlamme, one of the first rock electric violinists, composer of White Bird, and a founder of the band It’s a Beautiful Day, has laid down his bow. A great musician. RIP, dude.

Not a musician but Bob Barker from The Price is Right died at 99 years of age. Makes me sad.
