Rodney McG did a lot for the bass community. Sad
Schade. I’ve seen many of his films. He was a really talented actor.
When I first saw “Udo”, I thought “OMG, not Udo too”, but I was thinking of Udo Lindenberg. He’s getting close to 80, and recently had his first #1 hit with Apache 207 whose already had a bunch of #1’s.

Bob “Bongo” Starkie, guitarist for the Australian band “The Skyhooks” passed away at 73 from leukemia.

I’ve mentioned this before, but it seems like a good time to bring it up again. I bought this because I’m a pretty big fan of stax records. what I didn’t know before reading it is that the story of stax is also really the story of Steve Cropper. if anyone is interested this not only is a great first hand account of stax it’s also one of the best books I’ve ever read about music.
