Welcome @RedHood, wonder which songs you like most from rocksmith, it’s been a couple of year ago since I used that.

New to bass always wanted to play ever since I herd that little syncopation part on when I come around by green day(I hope I’m using that term right Josh!) But being a lefty i have it’s not as easy to just pick it up. And a right handed has never felt comfortable. I bought myself a epiphone les paul last winter, but always find myself more in tune with what the bass and rhythm are doing. So on a whim I ask a friend if he could track down a lefty bass. Thinking it would be days weeks to find something used cheap enough. That same day I had a cort action bass in my hands. Instantly tried to take on songs way to advanced for me. I do have rhythm and decent timing. Decided to step back and take lessons. You are a great teacher and remind me of my brother inlaw a bunch. Anyway looking forward to becoming a badass!

Oh jeez, a good handful at this point its been a few months. Some trivium, incubus, bullet for my valentine, etc etc.
Hey Guys! I’ve been enjoying the lessons on YouTube. I’ve always wanted to learn bass. Years ago I decided that I’d teach myself guitar first and then move to bass… well as years went on and life, I was stuck in this rut. Basically a campfire guitar player. I met a dude at Punk Rock Bowling last year from my hometown. Through chatting with him, I found out he was a guitar player in a local band. Back a home we starting hanging out a bit. I asked him to help me with my guitar playing and he agreed. So I brought my gear over to his house and I didn’t even get it out of my car, he said the bass player in his band quit and was wondering if I wanted play hahah. Now I play bass in this band(never played in a band before)! So I bought the gear off the old bass player and learnt the songs. I have to admit is was a little intimidating at first. Bassbuzz helped me so much with getting comfort. With Covid I had the time to practice, we recorded a song in June which was fun and humbling. I realized in the studio how much I sucked hahaha… but only played for about 3 months by this time. But as time marched on, with help from bassbuzz and fender play I’m getting better and leaning a ton along the way. I love playing bass

Hi everyone,
My name is Keli. I currently live in Baton Rouge. I’ve been a drummer for the past 35 years and was actively gigging for about 10 of those years to pay my way through college. It seems like BR is full of drummers but not so much on the bassplayers. I decided to work on bass and see if I can make myself a little more marketable.
I’m excited to learn from and alongside all y’all.
Keli
