Hey All. Like a lot of others here I’m another 40-something dude. Recently, my wife said I could have one new mid-life crisis hobby and after narrowing the list down to 3 options: learning Bass, hunting humans for sport, and juggling we decided Bass was probably the best choice.

As for musical experience, I took guitar for a semester in high school, but never kept up with it. I always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument but the closest I ever got to being a musician was being a full-time professional mobile DJ for 15 years. I’m really looking forward to the course especially after binge watching Josh’s YouTube videos. I really dig that practice is built into the course. Practicing alone at home was always the biggest hurdle for me on learning an instrument before.

Plus, as I told my wife (who plays the clarinet) if I’m successful in my quest to learn to play bass then we’re only 2 kids away from having one of those terrible family in matching outfits jazz ensembles.
