I have been playing Bass for 40 years now
I love Ibanez basses, I have had about 8 of them and I hate to say, I would put them at #1 in my Bass list,
I have owned Fenders, Gibsons, and various basses. But imho the tonality of my basses are in credible. If anybody else loves Ibanez basses chime in

I really prefer Ibanez and Yamaha over Fender myself. No shame in that.

I had an Ibanez 5 string fretless at one time and really liked it. I also prefer Ibanez or Yamaha (or my current ESP) over Fender.
