Great to have you here @limos1, however, I don’t see a problem here.

I mean, @John_E has more than five of the same bass.

It’s funny both that this is true and that I haven’t thought it was odd until you pointed it out

I’ve just jointed up after trying to teach myself guitar this year - which I will continue. However I bought myself a Fender Mustang for Christmas and I’ve been enjoying some of Joshes YouTube videos - so now I’m going to do Beginner to Badass. I’m 54, 5’2" with tiny hands but I seem to be doing ok thus far - there would be very few adults with hands as small as mine so if you doubt you can play bass, don’t! So far I’m having a great time over here in Perth, Australia (yes, our toilets do flush in the reverse direction) and I have to discipline myself to play my other instruments most days - guitar, piano, saxophone (which I’ve neglected for some time). I’m looking forward to challenging myself and to see what I can achieve - eventually I want to learn to play by ear…so I’ve got some work to do.

That’s joined, not jointed - I don’t want to misrepresent myself…lol

I get it, there’s not enough behaviour-therapy in all the World to make me stop buying instruments after saying “that’s it, no more!” I suspect this forum is full of “my people” who do the same

Welcome, @leanne.aurisch. Very glad you’re here. Contrary to popular belief, size doesn’t matter (for bass, anyway). Enjoy the lessons!

@joergkutter was one, and could be again IIRC

Wow, cool! Didn’t know that.

I did a search and found @joergkutter’s sax-playing comment. He mentioned he played sax in a jazz combo.

So many reasons to like that guy. :+1:

Haha, yes, @John_E is correct, I used to play tenor way back when. Now, I may renew my skills with the WX7 wind controller (or a new improved version made by some Swedish engineer, where there is a year-long waiting list, however )
But, I think there might be more than three or four in here with a history as sax players… I am quite sure there are more.

PS: Welcome to all the many newcomers! I am doing a shabby job in welcoming people, but I strive to help as much as I can
