Welome @Aye_MVRCK
Have fun!
Welcome in @Aye_MVRCK !!! Itās good to have you here.
Thanks for creating this awesome site Josh⦠your free lessons and reviews are incredibly helpful, well done.
Call me CC (thatās my cat in the avatar). Iām a 61yo engineer, athlete, woodworker, pilot, artist, photographer, adventurer⦠and frustrated musician. Iāve attempted trombone (7th grade), sax (8th grade), piano (11th), guitar (age 44 - present). Music remains the one thing Iāve really wanted to excel at that I havenāt, yet :-).
I bought my daughter a used Ibanez EDC-700 and a BA110 several years ago. Honestly not sure how many miles sheās put on that rig, I think not many. I loved to noodle around on it when she wasnāt looking :-). She spirited it off to her new digs back in November.
I decided to make learning the bass my New Yearās resolution of sorts. My goal is to be playing in an ensemble by yearās end. I already know way more theory than I need, I already know the neck. I will concentrate on rhythm & groove.
I picked up an SR300e and a Rumble 40 v3 just after New Yearās. Nice kit, makes me want to stop and play. Iām a probable BB subscriber, just havenāt pulled the trigger yet.
Welcome @CoolCat
Pull the trigger on BB @CoolCat, you wonāt regret it. Iāve spent money on a fair amount of bass stuff I donāt need and sort of regret, and really need to sell off - but the BB course was 100% worth every penny.
And welcome!
Welcome, @CoolCat. Have no hesitation or trepidation: Sign up for B2B. The first few lessons cover fundamentals and might be a walk in the park for you, but the following lessons are designed to teach a variety of fingering and plucking dexterity techniques, each presented in a tune from different genres and eras. Plus, itās all just damn fun. It is the most valuable and worthwhile bit of bass-related spend youāll ever make. Enjoy!
Great to have you here @CoolCat
Welcome @CoolCat !
Welcome @CoolCat
Have fun!
P.S. I concur with the others about doing the B2B course. I love it and Iām thoroughly impressed with Joshās teaching.
Welcome aboard @CoolCat @Aye_MVRCK
Welcome @CoolCat
I can honestly say that the money spent on the B2B course was some of the best I have invested in my bass journey. Go for it, you wonāt be disappointed
Welcome @CoolCat ! Really glad you are here!
Hi there,
I am glad to have found here to BassBuzz, this lovely forum, and you. I am a Mathematics and Physics student aiming to become a teacher at a high school, fascinating students for the beauty of life. I work as a technical assistant in ophthalmology, helping my doctor with all my spirit to help people let them see the beauty of life (again).
Electric Bass has found my heart. Playing it feels like hearing and sensing the deepest vibes and harmonies of the universe. That finally led me to get my bass last week (I call āherā Luna for the Bass-universe Iām into now).
I want to go for Japanese City Pop and Jazz. This is the great city life I feel while driving through the shading lights of the night. My big dream with BassBuzz: Thereās a Jazz Club in my area I want to join and play electric bass there after work, and enjoy the nights with Luna, great people, and great music.
Thanks a lot to Josh for his great spirit as a teacher, and thanks to this forum for its so cheerful and helpful mood! I am excited to hear from you all and am thankful to be a part of this grand BassBuzz-Family.
All the Best from Berlin, Germany
