Welcome, @Jack_9211. Glad you’re here. There are a lot of players here with challenging digits. Just keep on keepin’ on, man. Follow Josh’s lead and you’ll get where you want to be. And if that means playing your own unique way to accommodate a finicky finger, that’s cool, too. Enjoy!

Welcome, @Jack_9211. I just joined a few days ago and am also turning 70 later this year. I still have all my digits but am not so sure about my gray cells. Best of luck with the B2B program.
I’ve got some finger issues as well. You can do this, i assure you.
Are you up in arrostook? Nice area there. Good people, great scenery. It was nice to visit, but i dont think I’m hard enough at the center to handle winters there.
autumnsdad1990…No, I live in the north western part of the state. Same climate though.
I’ve not done a winter in Maine, but I’ve got a few friends that have. Youse guys up there are made of pretty tough stuff.
Welcome @Jack_9211
Have fun!

Not sure I’m doing this right cause these forum control seem different than others I’ve been in but maybe I’m just a weirdo. Lol. I’ve had the course for a couple of months and I’m a little over half way through it. Starting to get tougher for sure now as it should. I’m finding plucking speed especially over a couple strings is tough. I’m trying to find the way my fingers flow most efficiently, and it almost seems like I can pluck faster with my middle as my leader, and it’s sometimes tempting to throw my ring finger in the mix to help. Trying to concentrate on keeping technique before anything else cause I know that is gonna be the most important ingredient in developing speed. Anyway, very happy to be here, and I know I made the right choice going with this program being brand new to bass!
Great to have you hear @FatherTime
