Thank you, Sir! It is wonderful to be learning again!
Welcome, @rlbxtate. Glad you’re here. Congrats on your musical achievements. Enjoy the course!
Hi, welcome @rlbxtate , quite a journey you had already
Thank you so much! After such a long break from the bass (nearly 12 years), I feel like I am starting from scratch again… and had been watching Josh’s videos on Youtube, so I thought I’d take the plunge and I must say, I appreciate the structured nature of the course. How has the course been for you?
@rlbxtate Welcome aboard!
Welcome @rlbxtate !
Welcome @rlbxtate
Have fun!
Welcome @rlbxtate !
It was really helpful, I am a total beginner on stringed instruments so Josh’s course gave me a very good start
Been messing around for about 2 weeks when I bought my bass, but decided that i needed some structure, and took the b2b course it totally helped!
Hi! That is great to hear, and as a fellow low-ender, let me welcome you to the coolest and best instrument! Yes, Josh is amazing. I had been messing around, too, and even tried a couple of other online (free) channels, but Josh stood out - especially his amazing “What to Learn And In What Order” video which pretty much provided a lesson plan on the lines of BassBuzz itself!
I hope eventually that you can get a chance to play your bass in a band (if you haven’t already) - that is the most wonderful experience for me, and a whole other ball game as they say!
Hi, yes I already have been a drummer in various bands and that was great.
A few weeks ago I responded to an ad from a local band that needed a bass player, but someone beat me to it
Will keep an eye out in the next few weeks
That’s amazing! I’m pretty sure there will be more bands out there! Good luck and happy gigging!
Welcome to all new members!
Hope you enjoy your stay here and please browse through the forum and never feel uncomfortable to ask questions!
@qenden , I know 2 bass players in bands. I can ask around if they know something if you’d like.
Welcome along @rlbxtate !
Thank you!
Welcome Charlene, you’ll find everyone here is great. I’m another old guitar picker who decided upgrade to bass. Enjoy your Fender…
Hi y’all! Newbie here. Been playing bass since December 8, 2023 (but who’s keeping track?). Just started my BassBuss lessons this week. My husband, who I’ve been together with for 22 years has played bass for 30+ years and has been in many bands over the past few decades. After seeing some incredible live music in Sweden last summer, it pushed me into a full blown rock arc (not that I haven’t loved r-n-r but just not quite like this). Knowing I was on a pretty heavy new musical journey, my husband randomly put “bass lesson” on my calendar last winter and, well, it’s taken a course of it’s own now. I really liked it and was suprisingly good at it. And now I’m excited to grow my knowledge and technique and have some fun. Glad to be here and hoping to fulfill my husbands prophecy of being better than he was at 5 years after my first year.
Welcome @Wednesday
Have fun!
Howdy and welcome to the lowlife!
