Welcome @SJbass. I too enjoy a bit of gaming, but not as much as I used to. Mostly open world stuff or transport management games. And I sit here and glance at my bass thinking ‘I should be playing that instead’!

Hi, I’m Brian. I’m 39 and last year was inspired by my 14 year old son (who plays guitar) to finally get off my ass and learn to play an instrument. Being a big Punk/Ska guy since I was his age I was personally more drawn to the bass. And it’s great jamming with my son, despite not being able to keep up to his place yet, lol. And just a couple weeks ago I had the privilege of bringing my son to see one of my more inspiring bands play live, Pennywise. The first time I heard the song Society from them I was instantly in love with the genre, and that huge aggressive punch from Randy Bradbury’s bass playing was just, wow. Sounded just as huge live also!

I feel your pain, I’m a huge gamer, play most every weekend! I really should pick the bass up more than I do, and put the controller down, but dog gone the games are just so good nowadays haha
