(Although as I originally come from Dunfermline in Scotland where Andrew Carnegie was born, the more modest Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline (compared with its NYC counterpart), also named after him, is a bit easier to find).
Good luck with the lessons. I just passed the halfway-turn the other day. I agree the pacing is great. I bounced around the Youtube videos for a bit until I needed more intentional practice as well. So far so good. That’s cool that you’re originally from Dunfermline. I’ve got good mates that live in Kirriemuir (45 mins North of Dundee). I’m in Arizona so not from that neck of the woods but it’s cool hearing that there’s someone here from that corner of the world.
Hello Everyone!
Just turned 65 today and have dabbled in Bass off and on (played root notes only in a worship band about 15 years ago) really want to learn this thing correctly and will be signing up for the B2B course tonight (birthday gift to myself) after reading everything I could in this forum.
4th generation plumber close to retirement (still have a one or two years in me) and need to fulfill this bucket list item for my own enjoyment.
Truly believe that music soothes the soul and being able to play an instrument completes that circle!
