Welcome @cwjtx82 and @KobiLight8 !
Hi all, Nick here from Ireland/NI
Another slightly older chap (61). Always into music & bands since 60’s, played bit of guitar in my teens (punk/Indie) but didn’t progress much.
Purchased a bass off someone 25 years ago & sadly didn’t get on with it. Fortunately I didn’t get rid, after watching some of Josh’s inspirational videos I decided I wanted to learn this proper so paid for professional to restring & set up my bass - was a total revelation after set-up.
My bass is a Westone Thunder 1A, active pick-up, built 1985. See profile pic
Looking forward to getting stuck in & progressing with this course
Cheers, Nick

Welcome, @epicsurfskinick. Glad you’re here. It’s never too late to learn the proper way to play bass. Josh will show you how. Enjoy!
Thanks Antonia, appreciated
Cheers Fennario, thanks
Thanks Mike, watched a few different online lessons with people but his style just clicked for me

Welcome @epicsurfskinick
Hi folks. I’ve been a guitar hack (emphasis on hack!) on and off since high school, but I always wanted to play bass. Now I’m retired and my over-55 community has a guitar jam group that meets a couple of times a month. Instead of being just one more of several rhythm guitar guys, I decided to go for it. I got a Yamaha TRBX174 a couple of weeks ago and have been practicing enough basic blues stuff to hold my own in the jam group. I figured I better do this course before I develop even worse habits that I bring over from regular guitar! ![]()
