Hi. My name is Brett. I started playing bass around 13 years old myself. Start off with a Kramer and then through a weird twist of events put away for a number of decades between 18 and 40 and then started to Play it again around 8 1/2 years ago, on and off really started focusing in in the last two years and I’m here to learn how to get better. I now own a 4, 5, and a 6 string bass along with my original Kramer that now hangs in my living room…

Been playing guitar for thirty-five years roughly classically trained on violin and piano started “playing” bass March 1 of this year got a starter Ibanez bass as an early birthday present been waiting for a paycheck to come in so I could start learning on here finally got the chance to do it looking forward to learning how to play this new found skill.

New guy here! I first got and learned to play a bass like 30 years ago and played through high school, though I sort of gradually shifted to guitar as I got older because in my misguided youth I thought it was cooler. I had a 10 year ish hiatus from most music when I was going to university and starting a family. Been playing guitar again for the last 12 ish years. A couple years ago I set myself a New Years Intention™ to learn and record whole songs. I use the AI drummer(s) in Logic Pro, and I bought a midi keyboard/controller to record simple bass lines. This just reminded that A: that’s a subpar way to record bass lines and B: I really missed having a bass guitar. So I finally got myself a bass guitar again and here I go. For now I just play plugged into Logic or MainStage, but in a few months I’ll buy a small amp and I hope at some point to play out again.
