Welcome to the forum!!!
Welcome! I also join recently and I can say that this course is amazing. I started over a month and a half ago and I dedicate at least an hour of practice every night. I have learned more in a month than I did with individual classes on previous occasions.
Welcome along @jacques.choukroun !
Hi I’m Colin and I bought a bass during the COVID lockdowns. Played a bit (mostly through Youtube videos and UG tabs). But then work got in the way. Have been playing more frequently (daily) for the past six months and am currently about two thirds of the way through B2B. Am amazed at the progress I am making and the fun I am having. Can only echo others here in terms of Josh’s teaching style - it’s incredible! Looking forward to learning from everyone here.
Welcome, @Col. Glad you’re here. Enjoy the lessons!

Welcome @Col !
Hi there!
Picked up a bass a few weeks ago and am loving it. I played guitar/cello for years growing up (I mean who didn’t when the black album cassette came out) then life got in the way and I have not really touched a guitar in years. There’s so much more to bass then I ever thought! I already suffer from GAS, but its better than buying a Porsche as a mid life crisis I thought I had the perfect bass for me Yamaha 504, but ended up on a pbass. Just finished the Billie Jean lesson (darn you @JoshFossgreen ). Def looking forward to the lessons and contributing to the delinquency (in a positive way) of the forums with you all!
Welcome to the new folks. Enjoy the lessons. And, yes, I’m a fan that it’s way cheaper to play bass than buy a Porsche too. You even get to rip it full throttle with the bass. You’re driving that Porsche the speed limit 99% of the time.
Welcome, @Stevie. Glad you’re here. Yep, there’s a lot that goes into playing bass, but the most important thing is all the fun you have on the journey. Enjoy the lessons!
Welcome @Stevie
Have fun!
Welcome @Stevie !
Hello everyone,
I’ve been a #lurker of the forum for a month or 2 now and finally took the plunge two weeks ago and bought a Yammy 304 (Josh’s recommendation video). I played a bit of 6 string in high school but that was SO LONG ago I don’t think it counts. Now that I’m in my late 50’s I can actually dedicate some time and learn.
I joined the service right after high school graduation and got to see some of the world including a nice tour of the Persian Gulf. The VA doctor recommended I try something to help with the PTSD where I can get a sense of accomplishment from the small wins and every time I complete a lesson in the B2B course I feel it.
Josh, you are an amazing instructor in how you presents the material with clear concise terms with humor and an aside of challenge (I’m just presenting you with how to read sheet music, whether or not you use it is up to you but it will be there just in case)…
Anyway, I’m working my way through Module 2 and having fun doing so.
Welcome @LynnD and thank you for your service.
