Awesome. Thanks for replying. I am Checking in as I commit myself to this next payday. It just appears to be what I need to get over this learning hump. I’ll be selling the majority of my guitars and staying on this course of action.
Any tips?

Good to see you’re playing it smart and learning the right way to avoid injury and frustration!

Welcome along @73cnote !

Best tips are probably to do B2B and maybe be disciplined about it. Set yourself challenging but achievable goals; how many lessons a week etc. Accept that learning at least some theory is more than worth the effort. But make sure to have fun whilst doing it!

Thanks! I signed up for B2B and got through half of Module 1. I brought my bass in for a setup today, and I can’t wait to continue, once it’s ready to go in a week or so.

Hi, all. Name’s David. I’m coming back to the bass after a long hiatus. I originally started playing when I was 16-ish. I’m now 36 and probably no better now than I was then lol. I’ve never taken any lessons but have decided to try to be a passible bassist by working through the whole B2B series beginning to end, even if the beginning lessons do seem a bit easy. However, I can tell I’ve already benefited just from the plucking technique videos.

I went a bit overboard getting back into it with a 2021 Fender Aerodyne that I found still brand-new. I also may have been bitten by GAS Guy as I also just bought a 1998 Ibanez Ergodyne EDC 705 off of Reverb for stupid cheap. It has a dead treble boost/cut knob but is otherwise in amazing condition. I had one when I was younger, I loved it, and stupidly sold it at some point. I may have been a fan of the band Orgy back in the day and their bassist, Paige, played one.

Anyways, happy to be here!
