Thanks for the kind welcome everyone. Gonna start B2B right away. No looking at upgrading my bass until I finish it.
Or maybe just a little upgrading after BJ……

Welcome
Welcome Scott, great to have you here.
Enjoy. It’s loads of fun if you take it slow and enjoy the process.
Hey all,
I’m Dave and I’m happy to be here.
So bass is a 2nd instrument for me. I’ve played piano/keyboards most of my life. I play mostly classical these days, though I also play jazz and I was in a cover band back in the 80’s when I was a kid.
I really enjoy playing with other people, but that opportunity is few and far between as a pianist if you don’t do it for a living (especially as a classical musician). Hence, a friend suggesting taking up bass since there is no shortage of people looking for bass players. So, I dusted off my instrument, started looking around the web, and landed here.
I started with the B2B lessons yesterday and am having a blast so far.

Hello Bassheads!
I’m Devin, 50+ computer sysadmin type living in Oakland, CA USA. I never really had any music training growing up (other than the bit of recorder and a few months of violin as a small child) and back in 2000 I bought myself a Fender J-bass (Show Us Your Basses (Part 2) - #2626 by devilcrayon) to try to rectify that, but never got very far. Best I did was a year or so playing along with the Rocksmith game. Now, 24 years later I picked up B2B to fill in all the basics I missed and clean up my awful self-taught technique. I just finished Module 2 and am really loving it. Josh does a great job of explaining thing and demonstrating the lessons.
