Introduce Yourself! (2024)

I did mean any offense on the dancing. It was a stupid little joke.
Professional Brewmaster is a great occupation. Do you specialize or do you brew all types of beer. Is there a brew you enjoy producing more than others?

No offense taken. I’m proud of my dancing. Just not something I want to make a living off.

I studied in Germany, so I’m partial to continental styles. I especially like brewing modern pilsners, Belgian styles, and stouts. I brew a bit of everything, although I’m less of an IPA guy than most brewers.

I’d say my specialty is modern hybrid international. Musical analogy - understand the core of what makes a musical style what it is to be able to push the boundaries and draw outside inspiration to create something new that respects it’s roots.

My proudest beer is a hybrid of modern German craft Pilsner, American adjunct lager, and Mexican lager.

Hello, my name is Chris and I’m Polish. I’m 19 and about 2 months ago I decided to start playing bass because I thought It was the coolest instrument ever. I finished the course a couple of days ago and still cannot believe how much progress I’ve made since then thanks to it.

Anyway, whoever is reading this - have a good day

Welcome, @ZaweuszZ. Glad you’re here. Big congrats on finishing the course. You have a long, fun life of bass before you. But in the near future, if you ever have the chance to visit the Mayones shop in Gdansk, most definitely go and do it. Mayones makes superbly excellent basses. Enjoy!

Hi there! I’m Roni and I’m a beginner bassist, who’s just about to get his first bass and I signed up to the course after watching several YT videos. I really dig the delivery style. I am also an advanced beginner harpist (harmonica player).
One of the things I’m wondering about the course is how to tell whether I’m ready for “the next level/lesson”? When/how would I notice that I’m NOT ready and should keep practicing previous workouts?

Excited for the journey!

Welcome @roniyaniv

Enjoy the journey on th b2b course (I know I did…)
Josh talks about this in the course , It bassicly ( pun intended) comes down trying to play the lessons at low/ mid speed ( and fast if you want to ) and move on, you can come back later to perfect things or to notice your progression, which you will
You are probably gonna get into some trouble/ frustration with a girl called Billie Jean on the way, try your best, don’t get frustrated and move on … you can ( and will ) come back and beat that one like many of us did… just listen to Josh’s advice

Welcome, @roniyaniv. Glad you’re here. Josh explains exactly everything you need to know as you go through the lessons. Essentially, be patient, take your time with each technique and concept. There is no deadline, no pressure to complete a lesson. It’s all up to your comfort level. That said, whenever/if ever a workout (slow, medium, or fast) seems like a bit too much for you at the moment, slow it way down until you can play cleanly. If you can only play the slow workout, feel free to go on to the next lesson and revisit former lessons later. You’ll be amazed at what you had found tough to do is now much easier. Enjoy!

Hi everyone! I LOVE bass have been wanting to play for YEARS but was afraid it would be another instrument I acquire and lose interest in. I finally bought my first bass about 6 months ago and took a few lessons/have been trying to learn on my own/with friends and it’s been ok but slow progress, but my interest in the instrument is sticking so that is exciting for me. I’m really excited for this course! My goal is to either play bass in my own band(I currently play guitar in my band but would rather play bass if I can figure out singing and play at the same time) and/or play in someone else’s band(which would honestly be more fun for me to support tbh). Would love to know if anyone else has been able to join a band after completing the course(if that was your goal). I’d also love to connect with the other women/femme identifying bassists in the group and am curious if there is a forum for that already.

Welcome, @PenelopeJuicebox. Glad you’re here. You’ll learn a lot in the course, especially since you’re coming from guitar. Enjoy!
