Thanks. User name came from when I used to play alto sax. Came up with it so I could join eBay and have stuck with it all across the Internet. Even own the domain name blowinblue.com. My father would pay for family and individual portraits every year. This pic is likely from 1959 when I was eight. Played bass from 1976-1985, then took a 17 year break and resumed in 2002.

Good day all! This is Denys - a 77 year old taking up bass for the third time in 25 years. This is the last time since I have Dementia which affects memory. I’m also a surfer since 1961 - quit recently. Now retired after 30 years in IT Project Mgmt.
Gear - Dingwall ABZ 5 string, Eden 2x10 combo & Eden 15" - this was my dream set up.
looking forward to learning more songs and technique.

Those are also a few of my favorites.
I do practice a couple King Crimson songs, Tony Levin is high on my list.
Also some, The League of Gentlemen. Also a Robert Fripp group.
Brand X = a different style and level of playing. Incredibly busy, I’m not yet there…
Humble Pie = After reading your post I went and played, I don’t need no doctor, live version of course. Glad you mentioned HP.
You might also like Tony Levin stuff with Peter Gabriel, its a fair bit easier than the KC.
