Introduce Yourself! (2026)

welcome @Sribulusu

My name is Chris, and I decided that I need a hobby. I decided on the electric bass guitar and signed up for Josh’s course. I played a little drums in grade school and 30 years ago tried the piano, but it didn’t really work for me. However, I love music, particularly rock, some pop, and some metal, and I am looking forward to learning.

I purchased a Yamaha BB734A in Fired Red, and it should be here this week, so I can begin the course.

Welcome, what a great pick. I got one just before Christmas 2024. If I could only keep one of my basses, it’d be this one.

(with my new Sire M5, which is also a great bass)

hello to everyone :waving_hand:

I’m Magda from Germany and got back into playing bass just recently again. It started 20 years ago, when I was 13 years old and begged my parents to buy me a (cheap) bass because I was amazed by Mike Dirnt. I even got to play in a small band with friends for 2-3 years but never really got the hold of it, that’s probably why my bass then started to slowly disappear from everyday life… I also tried guitar and piano (everything self taught, my dad is also a guitar player / technician haha).

I then recently listened to some new music and fell in love with some bass lines, so I got my old dusty 20-year old bass out again - realising it’s more broken than functioning I actually bought a new one (still a cheap fender mock, but it’s still a big upgrade for me:smiley:)

And this time I wanted to keep myself motivated and wanted to really LEARN instead of only „playing along“. So I treated myself with the B2B course and here I am now - so excited to (finally) start learning bass again, now being 33 years old and reliving my teenagers dream
