@Franceska welcome to the group Franceska, great introduction thank you. I doubt you’ll find a more friendly and helpful bunch than in this forum. Like you I find practicing a great escape from life’s problems. It centers me especially after a stressful day in work, it’s like cleaning my mind. I wish you joy on your journey.

Hadda get right. Needed a little talk therapy and some changes in lifestyle.
I’ll be around. Tried to post on practice frags, but hadda make a YouTube short @ https://youtube.com/shorts/Mcn8eA6YN6A?si=dM7-J7Xw58i1gJIF

And oh, yeah. Thanks @JoshFossgreen ! Without you and your team I never would have tried. Even if you never see it, it works. For real.

That was great. I really enjoyed your hat great job. What bass were you using there? I certainly liked the look of that !

Ibanez es300 in midnight snowburst.

Cheap. Effective. Forgiving as all get out.

Much like the Yamaha trbx line, the Ibanez sound gear line is really swiss army knives for bass players. They do everything well, nothing exceptionally well, and they’ll never fail to get down for you at under 500 usd new.

Very good. @autumnsdad1990 show me that bass please. Here’s my SR400 that I have had a little over a week now.

Using the Neo Spark has forced me to move the jack out of the hole so the plugin works. Not a fan of cords. It is out 3/8” from the stock location but I am going for as much as I can later today. Have to make another shim. It needs to be an outie, not an innie. Lol

Your bass is sweet.

Thank you! I use rf rigs, but I notice latent signal lag from time to time. Plus direct sun can mess them up. So it’s cords, but I’m used to it. I only play standing now, that’s new for like 6 months, maybe?

I put new strings on after I moved the jack out and the oddball gray one bothered my ocd. They are sending me a new set.

My cords were getting the attention of our dogs so I went cordless.

I’m almost 60. Got this bass when I was 16. Did the garage band thing even through I had idea what or how to play. No internet back then. At 17 I was off into the military. While I was deployed my bass was taken but by some miracle, the pawn show stored and when I returned a few years later I got it back. Never really picked up again but in my heart I really want play. Found Josh Monday while browsing. Told the wife, I found a teacher I believe in. The way he comes across is very good and I am enjoying the courses so far. I’ll post a picture of my bass and amp too. Looking forward to being part of this group. Thanks

Hi there!

My name is Wanjiku(prehistoricpancake) from Nairobi, Kenya. I joined a band last year and a friend from another band gifted me their old bass, I was using youtube to learn bits and pieces but now just bought the bass lesson course as I was looking for a structured way to become a better bassist and excited to see how I’ll progress in the next couple of months. Pictured is Frankie the bass.

Very nice to meet you all.
