I am betting this will be a better plan than the original one you found, and lots of people love Thomann for customer care.
That will get you started, itās what I started with in fact. Itās not very good, is very cheap in every sense of the word, but gets the job done. If you get the bass model it has some drum patterns in it to jam to.
Thereās way better options down the line but they cost more. I would still recommend a used amp.
Just chose that one cus i actually saw a video of BassBuzz and he said it works good so since its cheap its perfect. Is really like i said, theres not really a store, atleast there i know that sells used in here so im trying to just buy new and i always have the return policy in case im not satisfied.
Yep totally understood. That will get you started. You can get more later.
Not a classic rock one though. Thereās one for bass.
The output is a bit low. Iām not sure how much it is where you are but it definitely doesnāt hurt to go for the Katana go.
This is the bass one.
This wonāt be very good, but is enough for the first few months of playing.
Itās getting tougher and tougher to find a phone with headphones jack. If you are in that situation then might as well move on to the katana you can later send the output with effective to your next amp you buy.
A Katana Go is much, much better quality than an AmPlug.
The Katana costs more but it will sound great, and it wonāt break as easily as the fragile AmPlug.
I was disappointed with the AmPlug I bought.
I wonder if it is available in Europe, didnāt see it on Thomann or Amazon there.
Itās on this page for Thomann Europe.
Ahh cool. That is getting up in to the ācan get a real amp for that priceā though.
Itās a better solution, though.
Buy once, cry once. But keep playing through the tears.
Yeah it will definitely be better than the Vox (or Blackstar or any other cheap versions of the AmPlug).
Yeah. The Katana go will offer great tone, effects, act as Digital interface and can send signals out to speakers or amp. It also has Bluetooth.
Thatās a few more features than entry level amp.
I had the Amplug and was also disappointed⦠I would ALWAYS go for the Boss Katana Go (which was not available then), not even the Fender Mustang Micro!
But if money is an issue - get the Amplug, even V2 (cause: cheaper) and be happy for the first few months.
As long as you can hear yourself playing, this might be enough!
This is one of a few times when we can say that the Katana Go is only twice the price but 10 times the quality.
Vox served their purpose when there were no competitions.
A few weeks ago I bought a used Ampeg BA 108 V2 for 50⬠(in France), for my girlfriend who begins to learn bass. Itās an example to say that you can get a small but real amp for really cheap, @JohnnyBoy . I prefer this option over an headphone amp, personnally. (but Iām guilty of loving amps, I must confess)
Year their customer service is very good. But donāt ask a technical question to their support
I also have a āPaul McCartneyā style Hofner Violin Bass. Mainly as a nostalgia trip as I grew up in the 60s with The Beatles music among others. The Hofner sounds good both plugged and unplugged. Now Iām saving up for a Fender!
