Just signed on to play the Friendship Festival 30-50K people

We are opening the festival, a 1 hour set. The first time in over 2 years the base has opened to the gates to the public. Even though these folks ain’t coming to listen to us throw out Beatle covers and assorted blasts from the past this is exactly what’s going to happen…LOL Really looking forward to it, it is Oct 15 gates open at 0930…we are on at 1000. Yokosuka Naval Station, 10 min walk from Yokosuka-chuo…come on out eat, drink, and dance.

Thanks Mac, we’re going to decide on a set list this week and we’ll be giving those some extra love between now and then while we continue to build up a catalog. We are hoping that we’ll get on a list of first calls for the base whenever they run any kind of event…but these big open base things those are once or twice a year at best and everyone want to come in see and tour the ships, eat American style food and pizza. The pizza place on base sold almost 12000 pizza at the last one…LOL We are background music for a good day for a lot of people…I hope they enjoy it as much as I plan to.

Sweet, the Friendship Festival is super fun. Great BBQ. Good excuse to go, I had a lot of fun at the last one I went to up at Yokota AFB. You’re gonna kill it!

Yeah for sure. One nice thing about having it at Yokota was that when it rained you could carry your BBQ over to under the wing of a C-130 or something :rofl:

I haven’t been on base in Yokosuka yet, sounds fun.
