Hey fellow Buzzers, Here’s a quick update on my condition and treatment:

I’ve had 3 weekly chemo infusions so far. This week was a break from chemo, but will start again next Wednesday. The treatment plan is 3 weeks of chemo, and a week off, repeat, repeat.
The chemo seems to be working. The pain level has diminished considerably, and my tongue is shrinking down from the fat blob it was at the onset of this cancer. I still can’t speak coherently, but I can get by. If someone is annoyed about it, they can pound sand.
My doctor told me I need to exercise at least 45 minutes a day, but I don’t have any exercise gear in my house. However, I do have 3 basses which I use for that purpose. I figure hoisting a 9 lb bass over my shoulder and playing it while dancing around for 45 minutes fits the bill.
Lastly, I was warned my hair would fall out as a result of the chemo, and the warnings came to pass. I’ve been picking up large clumps of hair from the shower floor and out of my hair brush, so I decided to just be done with the inevitable. Today, Sara grabbed Lucy’s grooming kit and buzzed of what remains of my beautiful, long blonde hair. No more blonde jokes; it’s baldy jokes from now on.
P.S. I’ve lost 25 lbs since the onset of the cancer, so I look like a bag of bones. The lost muscle mass, as well as the hair, will come back once I have won this battle.

Rock on Buzzers!
